WWF’s BLACK RHINO EXPANSION PROJECT
“The black rhino population has been endangered because of poaching of its horns and moving them to the Limpopo province in South Africa ensures that they will be kept safe and allowed to roam in a wild natural habitat as well.
The transportation method definitely looks unconventional. Black rhinos are first shot with a sedative and then strung upside down by their legs from a helicopter as they take a 10 minute journey out of their original locations.”
